The Great Buddha Hall is an important Buddhist cultural heritage site in Nara, and the surrounding area can also be combined with Nara Park for a walk. Deer are wild animals; please keep your distance from them in accordance with local rules.

Kasuga Taisha →
Walking from Nara Park to the shrine, you can see the stone lanterns lining both sides of the approach and learn about Kasuga worship and the legend of the sacred deer. If you wish to enter the special worship area, first check that day's opening arrangements.
